Platform

Platform Engineering

Your internal platform either speeds up or slows down every tech team you have. We design it as a product: golden paths, self-service, built-in observability and security, integrated agentic coding. AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, IaC, IDP: a stack built for developer autonomy and velocity.

The Nobori Method applied to Platform Engineering (audit, architecture, build, optimization) enables our clients to cut their lead time to production by a factor of 3 and to bring developer onboarding down from 2 weeks to 2 days within the first 6 months.

THE PROBLEM

Your platform slows your teams down instead of speeding them up

Fragile pipelines, manual deployments, inconsistent environments, endless onboarding. Your developers spend more time fighting the infrastructure than delivering value, and every new hire takes weeks to become productive.

Our approach

Step 1

Audit & assessment

Infrastructure mapping, CI/CD and IaC maturity assessment, identification of bottlenecks and developer friction points.

Step 2

Architecture & design

Cloud-native design, internal developer platform (IDP) architecture, golden paths, integration of agentic coding into the development toolchain.

Step 3

Build & migration

Execution of the migration plan, CI/CD pipelines with autonomous AI agents (code review, test generation, remediation), containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, Infrastructure as Code.

Step 4

Optimization & autonomy

Observability, documentation, training, knowledge transfer. Your teams run the platform on their own.

Our commitments on this offering

Multi-cloud, no bias

Certified on AWS, Azure and GCP: we recommend the cloud that fits your context, not the one that pays us the most.

Developer experience first

Every architecture decision is assessed on its impact on team velocity, not just on technical feasibility.

Native agentic coding

Autonomous AI agents that review code, generate tests and remediate vulnerabilities, directly in your pipelines.

Metrics from day one of scoping

Deployment frequency, lead time to production, incident rate: no transformation without measured impact.

IDPs for every size

Hands-on experience building internal platforms for organizations of 20 to 200 developers.

Systematic handover

Your teams run the platform on their own by the end of the engagement.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a full cloud migration take?
It depends on the scope and the complexity of your legacy. A migration of 20 to 50 services typically takes 3 to 6 months. For larger scopes (100+ services), plan on 6 to 12 months with a wave-based approach. We always start with the least critical workloads to de-risk the process.
How do you measure the concrete impact of a Platform Engineering transformation?
We track four key metrics: how often you deploy, how long it takes from code to production, what percentage of deployments cause an incident, and how long it takes to resolve it. We add hands-on indicators: onboarding time for a new developer, provisioning time for an environment. Everything is defined during scoping and tracked at each milestone.
Where do you start a DevOps transformation?
We always start with an assessment to measure your maturity objectively: how often do you deploy, how long from idea to production, what is your incident rate. Then we identify high-impact quick wins, often deployment automation and environment standardization. The goal is to demonstrate value in 4 to 6 weeks to get the teams on board.
Do you absolutely need Kubernetes to do Platform Engineering?
No. Kubernetes makes sense beyond a certain number of services and level of orchestration complexity. For simpler architectures, solutions like ECS, Cloud Run or even serverless are enough. We recommend Kubernetes when the investment is justified by the number of teams and the deployment frequency.
What is agentic coding and how do we integrate it into our platform?
Agentic coding means autonomous AI agents built directly into your development toolchain: they review code in merge requests, generate unit tests, detect and remediate vulnerabilities, and can resolve tickets end to end. The key is to integrate them into the platform, not as a side tool, but as a native link in your CI/CD pipelines and your IDP.
What is the typical ROI of a Platform Engineering transformation?
On average, our clients see a 6x increase in deployment frequency, lead time cut by a factor of 3, 40 to 60% fewer production incidents, and developer onboarding cut by a factor of 5. ROI is measured in developer time recovered, reliability gained and the ability to scale teams.
How much does it cost to set up an Internal Developer Platform?
The budget depends on the ambition. A minimal IDP foundation (developer portal, golden paths for 2–3 use cases, standardized CI/CD) starts at €80K over 3 months. A full platform with Backstage, self-service provisioning, built-in observability and FinOps governance runs €150–300K over 4 to 6 months. ROI comes fast: within the first quarter, developers at our clients spend 40% less time on infrastructure.
What is the difference between Platform Engineering and DevOps?
DevOps is a culture and a set of practices (CI/CD, IaC, monitoring). Platform Engineering industrializes those practices by building a self-service internal platform for developers. In practice, instead of every team configuring its own pipeline and infrastructure, the platform team provides standardized services (create a service, deploy, observe) that developers consume without handling the underlying complexity.
